About Us
Refraction Lab is a small animation, VFX and visualization studio in Houston, Texas.
We're small on purpose. You deal directly with the person building the shot. No account managers, no hand-offs between departments, no waiting days for a straight answer.
Being small also makes us quick. Notes get turned around in hours instead of weeks, and we can usually take on work that needs to start now.
Behind that is 25 years across animation, marketing, commercials and VFX. Most of what we do is built in SideFX Houdini, where a procedural setup can cover a whole sequence rather than a single shot. Late changes stay manageable instead of turning into a rebuild.
